What an amazing night, Emily slept really well. The plan was starting easy with a visit to the Mall at Millenia to pickup clothes Daniëlle put on hold from Lilly Pulitzer.
Not a real surprise we found even more today as they had some new items. They even got an awesome jumpsuit and a beautiful dress for Emily this time. Emily picked the jumpsuit herself and said “I try” and walked to a dressing room. Too funny and she figured out where he cupcakes where and whom to ask for one! She getting such a big girl lately!
After a quick lunch in the food court we drove back to the townhouse where Emily went straight to bed. And we started working on the first suitcase already…
Emily woke up around 3:15pm and we went to Epcot for some fun. We didn’t had too many plans but we wanted to see Illuminations!
First stop The Seas with Nemo & Friends. Emily loved the extremely long waiting line and the ride even more. The ride went like this Nema (Nemo), Dory, Papa van Nemi (Marlin), Dory, Nemi (Nemo), Dory, Nemo, Nemi, Dory, Dory, Papa van Nemi, Papa van Nema, Papa van Nima, Dory, Nima, Nemi until we got of the ride she shouted Bye Dory, Bye Nema, Bye Papa van Nima!
Next stop was Figment, a ride hosted by Figment all about a imagination. Emily sat on her own and got a little scared during the dark scenes where she moved a little closer to Mama.
After Figment it was time for Spaceship Earth still with Siemens signs, most likely the last trip that we’ll see those up. On our way there we got our picture taken with Spaceship Earth in the background, Emily is wearing her new jumpersuit!
Here our ways split for a little while I went to ride the new Mission:Space. For the first time ever the green track, no wait, as this was a new experience a flight over earth. Very well done this tiny update. For another day I got a rider switch which I’ll use on the orange track (wait time typically 45 minutes).
Done with my flight over earth I rushed over to the other side of future world where my two girls were having dinner. Daniëlle went towards Soarin’ using the rider switch pass we got earlier this trip for her flight over the world. As soon as mama was gone Emily decided dinner was over and we needed to go for “a walk”. I knew where to go, the Odyssey for a beer flight. On our way over there we got a picture together. As soon as I had it ordered she wanted to go the the restroom…so I drank my flight in record time.
We regrouped near the restroom and together we went towards Norway in World Showcase. Only because Emily can’t stop talking about Elsa and Anna from Frozen. We did everything to avoid that but on the cruise the nursery staff showed her the movie a couple times… The wait was very short and Emily was very shy with Elsa but she felt really comfortable with Anna. They looked at the flowers, sat on the floor hugged, high five‘d and Anna almost got a kiss…
Next stop Germany for pretzels and beer. Emily got to colour a Duffy in the Kidcot station and she danced on German music again. She even got me dancing this time…crazy girl.
We found that it was still pretty quiet along the lagoon and Danielle found out that Illuminations wasn’t at 9pm but at 10pm. That explained a lot… we decided to continue walking around the world and see if there was a long wait at the character spots. For Mickey and friends I got us in the FastPass line although our passes were actually expired, but to be honest I think it was more the Emily factor which got us in.
In the mean time our FastPass for Frozen the ride was valid. Since it was late we split up, mama went back to Norway to ride it once and get a rider switch we can use on Monday when we plan to got to Epcot again. Emily and I would walk around Future World and we would meet up in the car.
Emily wanted to see if Joy was there and we were lucky as she and Sadness were there without a line! We had so much fun meeting them, Emily put stickers everywhere.
Next up was Baymax was our last action item of the day before we walked back to the car. Mama just got the rider switch and soon we got a text message that she got wet on the ride.
At 10:30 we got home Emily went straight to bed and we are not far of either. I just need to finish up this blog.
Last night we had one extra hour of sleep, we only found that out after Emily woke up really early. After some negotiating with Emily at 6:45 we agreed that mama would get her out of bed in an hour is she would sleep a little bit. Oh and I got a kiss!
Off course I couldn’t sleep anymore after making such a deal, but mama was happy. I decided to get out of bed and work on the last blogpost of the cruise to get them ready with pictures and uploaded. Somewhere today everything will be up and readable.
First things first, I didn’t live up to my promise to make pictures of the Townhouse and the car but I’ll give it an another try again tomorrow. Sorry…
Emily slept till 9:15, I guess that’s a new record! Out of bed we had a very slow pace, at around 10:00 we decided that we would drive somewhere with the car, Emily kept asking “go with the Auto”, so that would resolve that. First stop the Premium Outlets at Vineland Avenue, die to a lot of traffic we arrived there around noon. It was difficult to find a parking spot but then Mama suggested to park at the Promenade section across the street, plenty of space.
The main reason for the visit was the Disney Character Outlet. The shop was extremely busy and Emily didn’t like it but the deals were great, the selection was mainly items related to specific events like Christmas 2016, the Alaska Cruise, the Disney Wonder in New York, etc. Not a lot of things we were interested in.
After this we decided to check out the promenade section, we had never been here before but they had some interesting stores. We found some cool clothes at Tommy, I know what you think but no not Tommy Hilfiger, but Tommy Bahamas.
After this we went on to the Mall at Millenia, the more luxurious mall in this area. Funny was that we parked right across from a car with a Dutch license plate (front only). First stop Apple Store, I wanted to see the iPhone X with my own eyes. Beautiful phone but I don’t think it’s worth the price.
Then we all got hungry and we stopped in the foodcourt together some fried rice, veggies and meat at the China Town counter. When that was done we went to mama‘s favourite store Lilli Pulitzer! The staff recognized Emily from the last couple visits, not sure of that’s positive as she always touches the mirrors in there!
After this shop we drove back to the TownHouse and off course the little princess fell a sleep! We decided to stop at the Super Target to get some more water and other useful things. Mama did the shopping papa stayed in the car. Just before mama came back Emily woke up…
We drove back to the Townhouse and the first thing to do was getting our bathing suits on as we wanted to check out the resort pool before it got dark (which is around 6:30pm). In the beginning Emily needed to adjust to the water temperature and the fact that water is different but afterwards she had the most fun of all! It was even difficult to get her out of the water but reading a book and colouring did the trick..
At 7:30 she asked to go to bed and so we did, 8pm sharp we closed her bedroom door. Danielle did some laundry and I’m writing this blog enjoying a cold beer and chocolate, I love vacation!
After a late night yesterday Emily woke up at 9:00am, great for us to have slow start of the day. But not too slow as Dusty suggested us to come swim and enjoy the children area in Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, the resort where he and his parents are staying.
We decided that today would be a perfect day and at 10:30am we met with Dusty at the main pool area. First we explored the children area, Emily loved the pool with shallow water and the splashing water. She also tried the waterslides but these where a little bit too much, mainly because they were not so smooth because she put her feet on them while ‘sliding’ down.
Soon we all went to the main pool, this pool was ‘a little bit’ to deep for Emily to stand in (1,2 meter) but it had a zero entry, just like a beach but with out sand. Around 12:00pm we said bye and thanks to Dusty, we loved the pool and enjoyed meeting you here.
As we left the resort Emily was already sleeping, I think she needs vacation from this vacation! We decided to take a longer car trip, get gas at 2.189 USD/gallon (0.78 CAD/Liter, 0,52€/liter) and we ended the ride at the Mall at Millenia. Here we had lunch at California Pizza Kitchen where Emily rather ate my Original Chicken BBQ Pizza as her own crusty chicken with broccoli kids meal…
When the shopping was done we went towards the villa where Emily got to play Bedford she went toed at 3:45pm. Danielle started packing our suitcases, or at least one of them. Emily slept until 6:15pm, that’s when I woke her up. Needless to say she didn’t like me at all afterwards until I asked if she wanted to go somewhere…
She jumped of the sofa, wanted her Crocs and said repeatedly “Ootoo” with which she means “auto” in Dutch, “car” in English. She walked to the front door, opened it (she figured out how to do that) and walked towards her door of the car pointing at it. From that moment on I was considered nice again.
We went to Epcot, within 20 minutes we walked into the park. Emily brought Princess Sofia the First (her doll) and she was telling Sofia things and pointing at stuff the whole time, so cute. We started with Journey into Imagination with Figment. We started the ride sitting side by side but the first scene it got completely dark and Emily climbed onto my lap.
After we exited we walked towards the Seas with Nemo and friends, instantly she started pointing at all the nice fish. And she shouted “tom” at the not so nice fish. I believe she meant “stom” im Dutch, “stupid” in English. Right after we walked through World Showcase.
Starting point was Canada, Danielle and I shared a beer flight at Florida Fresh and at 8:30pm we ended up in… Yes you guessed it right in Germany! Here we shared a pretzel and some other beers while Emily and I were entertaining the crowds with dancing, running, twirling and sharing rice puffs with three girls from Argentina who didn’t speak a word of English.
oon the Siemens sponsored fireworkshow Illuminations started and Emily was clapping and wowing the whole time. She enjoyed it till the last big blast. For everyone who wants to see and here why we like this show so much, a video from YouTube (not my own):
After the show we left hither park, Emily stayed awake till we were home and went straight to bed. And here we are writing the blog again with just one more day in the Magic to go before we go home again…
