Day 21: Late night at the Studios…
After the laziest morning ever, or maybe during this vacation we left the Villa at 1:00pm. First stop the Krispy Kreme at the US192 for a fresh donut (or a couple) as lunch. After we got the donuts we went to a Starbucks with a nice patio and because Emily was sleeping we decided to drink our venti Teavana Shaken Peach Green Tea Lemonade (Mama) and grande Java Chip Frappuccino (Papa) on the patio while she joined us sleeping in her car seat.
From there we drove to the Disney’s Hollywood Studios because we wanted to see Fantasmic! And we hoped that Emily would hold out another night staying up late.
We start with a character meeting, Sorcerer Mickey. It seems she really likes meeting him because the first 10 minutes from the wait she was just hanging out and interacting with the people in front of us. But the last couple minutes and as soon as we could see Mickey she got annoyed and tried to reach out to him. And as soon as she could touch him she was smiling and making fun.

After Mickey we tried to get in line for a meeting with Mike Wazowski and Sulley but they were just called into the office to finish some paperwork for Roz. Lucky for us Andy was sleeping and we met with a Green Army Man, luckily Emily practiced her high fives a lot the last weeks.
Also Woody and Buzz Lightyear were meeting with other kids, Emily couldn’t stop looking at Buzz, Woody wasn’t so interesting.

We shopped on the Hollywood Boulevard and we found some really cool beach/swimming pool towels which we had embroidered with our names. The person who helped us was also an “Emily” not so cute as ours but she asked to spell our namespace I did “Every Moment I Love You”. She had never heard it before but she loved it. While we picked up our order later that night she told it to all of her colleagues and she even called her name.
From there we went to a spot in the park where a surprise meet and greet with several characters could take place, it’s called a Character Palooza and we were lucky. We were able to get a signature from and picture with Princess Tiana and pictures with Minnie Mouse and Pocahontas.

Because the wait times were really short we also had some time left for a meeting with Mike & Sulley because they finally finished their work for Roz. Emily tried to steal Mikes hat and loved the hair from Sulley.

After the character meets everyone got hungry and we decided to eat at the Studio Catering Co. Mama and Papa had something with Chicken breast and Emily something with rice, pears and pineapples. As soon as I was finished with my meal I ran of to another trip with Star Tours. I happened to get a special mission from BB-8 which was successfully completed, I have to say I love this ride.
Now it’s time for the FastPasses for the Tower of Terror. Mama went first while Emily and I made a PhotoPass photo.
Papa went directly after and when he was done Emily was sleeping. While Mama went to the restroom Emily and I got this photo taken.

But it was 6:26 and time to go towards Fantasmic! We found ourselves a nice place in the back so we could leave without bothering to many people of Emily would not like the show for some reason. But she enjoyed it, she didn’t know where to look.

At 8:00pm there was a (for us) new firework show the Symphony in the Stars: A Galactic Spectacular! The firework is based on the Star Wars movies and contains a lot of dialogues and music from the movies. The fireworks itself are really spectacular but we still like Illuminations a little bit more…
After the firework we walked back to the car (at the back of the parking lot) before we ended upon a traffic disaster, I think the ride home would normally take about 20 minutes, today we spend 20 minutes in one spot. And only because most of the people are driving a to big rental car and don’t know to drive it. But at 9:00 pm we got home and put Emily in bed where she slept immediately, probably dreaming about Mickey.
Day 20: Characters around the world…
This morning felt like almost every morning during one of our former vacations, we woke up tired from yesterday. Normally we would stay in bed till somewhere around 9:00am but with Emily we wanted to be in the car during her morning nap. We made it and went to the Starbucks just east of the I-4 on the US192. Mama went inside for the coffee and I stayed with Emily.
From there we drove to Epcot while we hoped to meet some characters because that is what Enily enjoys most. First idea was to meet Chip and Dale but the info in the App was wrong and they were not were we expected them, I guess they were collecting nuts. We also had some FastPasses for today, the first one was for a Journey into Imagination with Figment. Again Emily watched it with her eyes wide open and at the area where everything was upside down she kept turning her head while looking towards the ceiling. Funny to see that somehow a 6 month old already recognizes that something is not right.
After Figment we walked towards World Showcase, we passed Canada fast because at 11:00am Marry Poppins should be landing from a flight with her umbrella in the United Kingdom. And so she did very punctual.

After Marry Poppins we hoped to meet with Belle in France but she rather wanted to read a book instead of meeting with guests for pictures and autographs. So we continued and walked towards Mulan in China. Her the attendant closed the line but as soon as he told us Emily started to cry, no I didn’t squeez or pinch her. But he decided we could enter the line and as soon as Jim said it she put her happiest smile on. I hope this was a coincidence…

From China we walked back to Marocco where Emily met her first real prince, Aladdin. This line was a bit longer as the others and somehow there were a lot of older princesses waiting to meet him, I guess it was because Jasmine wasn’t with him. But Aladdin went for a date in the far away future with Emily on which she would meet Abu and fly on his flying carpet. We’ll see about that…

From Marocco we went back to Germany because Snow White was expected to visit the wishing well at 12:15. We were not the only one who had looked into the App so there was a bit of a line already but Emily got her autograph and picture. And she had fun with Snow White too.

After meeting Snow White Emily was a bit hungry and tired from all the excitement. We left Epcot for a visit to Beaches & Cream Soda Shop, a small restaurant specialized in ice-cold food but also serving more. In 2013 we ate the Kitchen Sink this time we went for a burger (Mama), a sandwich (Papa) and we shared a Banana Split. But before we got to the dessert we first needed to solve a diaper disaster, there are probably more teeth on its way through Emily’s gums.
After we finished lunch we went back to Epcot because our car was parked at the Parking Lot side of Epcot. While we entered the park I saw Tinkerbell waiting for Emily and we flew over there to get a “Fly Five”.

After this second encounter with Tink we were able to meet with Alice, she and Emily became best friends on the spot.

The next stop would be at the Character Spot for pictures with Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and Goofy. I guess they are really lucky because they don’t need to clean there noses anymore with the amount of drooling Emily does while she kisses their noses.

Now we headed to the car and stopped at the Super Target to do some grocery shopping (Mama and Emily) and printing the photos from the 33 characters (36 when you count in the different outfits) Emily has already met with. That might be even more characters then Papa and Mama had seen before this trip…unbelievable that we would be visiting characters instead of rides, but to see that joy on Emily her face is amazing. It’s somehow different as when she meets other people but I don’t understand what that difference might be.
Afterwards we went home and we played a little bit outside before it was time to go to bed for Emily. We enjoyed an easy evening…
