Day 12: The last day of summer in 2016…

Today is our last day in Kissimmee! Tomorrow we are heading back north, I did check the weather forecast today and I should not have done that!

After that deception we decided to enjoy the last day of summer this year. First Emily ran of to say hi to big Edwin. It’s a big version of Emily her Not so ordinary rubber ducky named Edwin!

Finally in the car we drove to Animal Kingdom! The parking was not crowded at all and our first stop was Pocahontas.

And then it was time to meet with #1, at least that’s what Donald Duck believes to be himself. Emily walked to Donald by herself showing of her two just found leafs. But as soon as Donald tried to take one Emily made sure he didn’t and offered him a kiss instead. I think he was so surprised he didn’t even knew what happened and in the end she kissed him another time!

From Donald in Dinoland we walked to Asia for a shoot with King Louie and Balloo! Lucky for us King Louie was hungry and eating the lice out of Emily’s hair. She couldn’t stop giggling…

After Mama and I got our coffee shot from the local Starbucks we left the on land animals towards a park full of under the sea animals: SeaWorld! We still had our Annual Passes and decided that it would be the perfect day to get on the new roller coaster, the Mako! We entered the park around 12:00 and although it’s a Sunday it was really empty. It’s the highest and fastest in Orlando and it’s a great one. I still think that there are better ones but the amount of airtime was amazing…

Before we left the park we both enjoyed the Manta which is a flying roller coaster where you hang under the train! The movie below was shot on an iPhone and edited on an iPad Mini 3 with iMovie not my best work but with the lack of better tools it has to do…

As soon as we drove on the I4 the little princess fell a sleep and we didn’t want to wake her, first stop gas station near to our planned destination. After getting gas still a sleep,  we drove a bit more and we decided to start the late lunch/early dinner with the dessert at Twistee Treat, we decided to go grocery shopping where I would stay in the car with Emily, just as Danielle walks away from the car Emily woke up.

Mama jumped back in the car and we drove to the Texas Roadhouse, awesome choice. A lot of delicious food for a really good price. Emily enjoyed waiving, babbling and sharing her food with the people at the neighboring tables.

After dinner we went grocery shopping and then it was time to start packing for our trip back home. The first bits information about the weather started dripping in through SMS and social media…the forecast is true there really is a couple centimeter thick white blanket of snow at home! What a difference with the almost 30 degrees Celcius from today…

Day 11: Hopping between parcs…

Emily slept till after 8:00 this morning, it’s starting to feel like vacation! Just 40 minutes later we were already rolling of the driveway towards Hollywood Studios!

We arrived well before 9:00 and we parked almost front row for the people who parked regularly instead of preferred! We walked towards the park and Emily and I went straight to Buzz Lightyear and Woody! And Emily is a little bit afraid from Buzz…she almost jumped out of my arms!

After the photos we walked across the street to do Toy Story Midway Mania, they’ve added a new track (number 3) and you can really see the difference in waiting times. In just 15 minutes we were done. Mama had 127.600 points, Emily and I had 163.900!

After we were done playing Midway Mania we went towards Tower of Terror to use our FastPass+ and do a rider switch. Mama went first!

After dropping down 13 stories in the Hollywood Tower Hotel we went on the Great Movie Ride. Emily was a little bit tired but she sat and danced through the ride.

After we excited the Chinese Theater (remake of the original) and Emily was in her stroller she was out!

With our sleeping beauty in her royal carriage we decided to walk from the Hollywood Studios to World Showcase in EPCOT. We took a detour and walked over the Boardwalk and about 20 minutes later we walked through the gates into the park.

Exactly on time to meet with Princess Aurora in France! Emily loved her, maybe because of the kiss she got in February?

Next stop was lunch, the original plan was Germany but we ended up in China. This was because there were so much more people in the park compared to last week and the lines in Germany were crazy! In China everything was doable, Mama went for food and we found us a spot. And on our way there bought a special Precious Moments Princess Sofia the First doll in Emily her room!

After lunch Emily and I went to the Odyssey for a beer flight! In the Odyssey they serve 8 different kind of beers every and they offer them in need flights. While we got something to drink Mama got the precious moment dolls signed by the designer.

Mama came to the Odyssey and we decided to leave the crowded park for shopping at the Mall at Millenia. In North American malls it’s typical to have a Santa Claus photo opportunity the weeks before Christmas. Also here in the Mall at Millenia, but I think the waiting time is a bit insane:

Soon we had what we came for and decided to drive back a more scenic route as the I4 was jammed. On the way home we got ourselves a coffee (Starbucks) amd some take-out from the Chick-Fil-A!

And by now Emily is vast a sleep!
