Our Family life...

Day 7: The second sea day…

Emily’s late night shopping adventure had a slight impact on her as she slept till almost 9am. Ok, the clock was set an our forward too but still…

Right out of bed we went for a walk to Deck 3 where we took a picture with a Daisy Duck. Emily gave a hug and a couple kisses.

Since mama and papa knew that Princess Sofia the First was going to meet at the balcony on Deck 4 that was our next stop. Lucky for us we got to be the last ones in line for a meet & greet with Minnie Mouse in her princess dress and again Emily gave kisses and hugs…

Then it was time to line-up for Sofia the First. Emily had a blast, she showed her Sofia doll to Sofia and she was impressed. Next item of interest was her amulet to everyone’s surprise she pointed at it and said Elena…that Amulet is where Elena was stuck in for many years in the series. Very surprising that she remembered this.

For 10am we had tickets for Anna & Elsa from Frozen. The line wasn’t too long and within 15 minutes we were on our way to brunch in the Royal Court. We ordered fruit, pancakes (Emily), royal eggs benedict (mama) and a three-egg omelet (I) but after a short time Emily said that she wanted to go to bed.

I went back the room and Daniëlle explored the ship. She got a free hanger from Sophia Fiori and got her picture taken with Woody.

To relax a bit she went to Cove Cafe to enjoy another delicious coffee. All that while Emily and I were taken a necessary nap. On her way back to the cabin she brought us cookies!!!

After both Emily and I woke up it was time to head to the nursery for Emily’s last stay in It’s a Small World. Every time it got easier to hand her over the terrific staff there and today’s she barely cried.

While Emily was there Danielle and I went to the Pandora Bracelet building after which we, off course, ended up buying 2 more beads one from the cruise line and one with Dumbo.

Then we decided to get our towel folding skills upgraded in the Tube. We are now able to fold a Scorpion, a Swan and a elephant. We failed miserably at the Monkey so I guess we need at least one more cruise to get that skill!

After the folding we stayed in The Tube for a Disney Movie Music Trivia! And we didn’t do bad at all, we ended up with we points easily in the top 10. But we missed knowledge on some Disney Channel songs we had never heard before.

We had some time left to take a picture with Stitch, I love this little alien! And then it was time to get dressed for semi-formal night and to pick up Emily from the nursery. But Emily was still a sleep and so we needed to come back later.

About 15 minutes later she was awake and I picked up her while Mama was waiting to get in line for a photo with Captain Mickey Mouse. Since Mickey was dressed up in his formal clothes we wanted to put Emily in a dress, that wasn’t easy…but I managed to get it done.

After Mickey we went on to meet Chip & Dale. They were dressed up nice in their tuxedos. Many kisses and hugs later we got on our way downstairs to the Enchanted Garden, tonight’s restaurant. Emily wanted to colour and thus we went down a bit early.

Emily had Cod fish, green beans and jade rice for dinner. She liked the rice so much that we needed to order a second portion. Mama and Papa both got marinated tiger shrimps as appetizer. I got a second appetizer, the Prosciutto! Our main was the lobster tail. As dessert I went for the chocolate lava cake and the apple pie, Emily got strawberries and mama had a cheesecake or something like that.

After dinner Emily grabbed Elin her hand and they walked together to the Preludes. Here their ways split as Elin went shopping and Emily waited in line to get a picture with Pluto.

At the Pumpkin Tree show they found each other again, they watched the show together. Emily was fascinated by the lights and the chanting of the kids and in the end she loved the Mickey Mouse shaped confetti which fell down from the ceiling.

For Emily this meant bedtime, again she told everyone she saw that she was going “naar bed” and after her usual bed story she was ready to sleep. Mama left to see “Disney’s Believe” as I waited patiently for the premier at sea of the newest Marvel Movie “Thor: Ragnarok” at 10:30pm!

We, Danny and I, were lucky enough to have 2 seats in the Buena Vista Theatre which showed the movie in 3D. It was a bit difficult to stay awake after such a eventful week but the movie was great, amazing experience to see a brand new movie at sea.

Now it’s time to get some sleep as tomorrow morning Daniëlle will be running the Castaway 5k and Emily and I are in our own… I’ve got some nice plans in store for us!
