Day 3: Royal visit to the Magic Kingdom…
At 5:15am Emily had a 20 minute long discussion with her friend Dumbo, Pluis for friends (she has multiple stuffed Dumbo so we gave them nicknames). Thanks to that discussion both mama and papa were awake but Emily slept further till 7:45.
After that early morning fun we start to get ready to head to the Magic Kingdom, Emily slept before we left the gated community. It took us 30 minutes before we exited our car to catch a tram towards the monorail station.
Emily enjoyed the attention she got from the other passengers onboard of the green monorail while sitting in her royal stroller. If you are going to meet with other princesses and visit a castle today. The monorails all have colors and I wanted to remember which color she rode on her very first ride, I can imagine her asking that and we didn’t had a chance to take picture while it was way to crowded.
After the extremely thorough, slow and annoying bag check I got preselected for a walk through the metal detector. Which felt useless because I could still wear my watch and belt. But I participated with a smile.

Finally in the park we walked down the middle of Mainstreet U.S.A. from where we went straight to Dumbo the flying Elephant for Emily her first ride. Did you imagine it would be something else? Off course not and I got us fastpasses to make sure we didn’t need to wait too long for our little princess.
When we got on the back of Dumbo, I found one in front of Emily and mommy to take pictures. It was hard to take pictures while she was looking around and I was sitting backwards but I can tell you she enjoyed it to the fullest.
After Dumbo landed close to the royal stroller we took of for a royal meeting.
When we entered the room the princesses directly recognized each other and start talking about their beautiful blonde hair, the shoes and their dresses. Rapunzel explained that Emily’s hair will soon be as long as hers (I certainly hope not, have mercy to the shower drain), Cinderella loved Emily’s dancing shoes and asked her to come back to dance when she can walk and Emily was obsessed by Cinderella’s dress.
From such high society gatherings little princesses get hungry and for lunch she got Banana Peach Oatmeal while her servants went to Casey’s corner for a hotdog. After a Starbucks we went shopping and bought a nice dress for the main person in this story before we went back to Fantasyland for It’s a Small World…
Although the day started cool with a lot of fog it got really warm today and we decided that it was better to head back home. Emily fell a sleep which brought us to the idea to visit the Polynesian resort before we need to wake her up to get her in her car seat. This was an excelent idea because we got ourselves Pineapple Floats…
From there we walked back to our car and we drove back to the villa to rest a bit and enjoy the pool.
For the evening we had planned to throw some bratwurst on the barbecue. But while throwing we ran out of gas… Danielle continued with the sausages in the kitchen while I’m working on this blog.
For tomorrow we have something to do now, get some new gas somewhere…
Day 2: Emily’s first time at Epcot…
First of all thank you for all the comments on yesterday’s blogpost!
Like we said yesterday, this is going to be a vacation with a lot of firsts and today was Emily’s first time in Walt Disney World and the first time at Epcot.
Yesterday was a long and pretty exhausting day so we all went to bed pretty early. Emily at 7:00 pm and we hit the sack at about 9:30 pm. We all woke up around 7:00 am, I guess we all were really, really tired.
So we all had a little breakfast, we packed all our stuff together and around 9:00 am we left our villa into the direction of Epcot. Emily took a nap, first in the car and then in her stroller.

At the entrance of the park we picked up Sander’s annual pass and we got a “1st visit button” and an autograph book for Emily. After that we had a Fast Pass for Test Track so Sander went first and then I could do the ride.

Then it was time for Emily to get a picture taken with Mickey, Minnie and Goofy for the first time. We did have a Fast Pass for the Character Spot so there wasn’t much of a wait time for us and we were both curious about how Emily was going to react when meeting the Disney Characters. She really liked Mickey and Minnie and couldn’t stop touching them and giving them kisses. Only Goofy was a little, how is the best way to say it… goofy to her so she was a little shy there. We got some really nice pictures and also, of course, autographs in Emily’s autograph book.

Now it was time for us to leave Future World and walk to World Showcase. Unfortunately the whole Duffy shop at the beginning of World Showcase is transformed to a Star Wars shop… Daisy was standing there for pictures and a really short line, but Emily was sleeping so we saved that one for later on our vacation. Slowly we strolled along World Showcase Lagoon and we ended up in Germany having a Pretzel and some beer. We continued walking along the Lagoon and since Emily was talking a nap we decided to go to Mission Space. We both did the orange “more intense” version with Rider Switch (also known as Baby Switch). One person does the ride through the normal waiting line and the 2nd person gets a pass for the Fast Pass line.
After we did some shopping at Mouse Gear we went to Spaceship Earth and visited Base 21, the Siemens VIP Center in Spaceship Earth. On our way towards the exit we saw Pluto, so we got a picture with him and another autograph for Emily’s autograph book. We also took some pictures in front of Epcot’s icon, the big golf ball called Spaceship Earth.

Now it was time for us to go home, we all were pretty tired. I drove home and there Sander and Emily took a plunge in our pool. After the swimming Emily got her dinner and Sander went to the Publix to buy something to throw on the barbecue for our dinner. We enjoyed home-made burgers while hearing the Magic Kingdom’s fireworks in the background. We could even see some glimpse of the actual fireworks.

I can’t wait what tomorrow will bring for us.
