Our Family life...

Day 15: ‘Ohana…

Ohana means family. Family means nobod gets left behind or forgotten. And thus we left towards the Polynesian Resort all together at 8:50am for a breakfast at ‘Ohana.

We parked our car at the Ticket & Transportation Center and from there we walked to the Great Ceremonial House in which ‘Ohana is located. After a short wait where Emily was modelling with her Princess Sofia the First sunglasses our tables was ready.

We started of withnpinnaple bread, delicious! The hot part of the breakfast was served in something like a big pan, it contained bacon, sausages, waffles, potatoes and scrambled eggs. And if something was empty they brought more of it. But we didn’t just went for the food, the breakfast was a special character breakfast where Lilo, Stitch, Mickey and Pluto came to your table for a visit. Stitch was a bit naughty as he was tickling Emily. There was also a children’s parade through the dining room but, for that Emily was a bit too young.

After we finished our breakfast we went to the Magic Kingdom with the resort monorail. We had the bagcheck already at the resort and we were walking down the middle of Mainstreet USA in no time. Here we took a sunglasses/castle picture.

Afterwards we hoped to enjoy Pirates of the Caribbean but the wait was 45 minutes, not something we had mind. Next stop Haunted Mansion for which we had FastPasses. After the ride we waited about 15 minutes for a picture with Peter Pan, this is a really funny meet & greet Peter doesn’t stop talking.

Time for our next FastPass for Ariel’s Grotto. Emily has been pointing at every single Ariel image, figurine, etc. for months, we thought that she would really enjoy this one but she was star struck at the moment supreme. She was very active in line but close to Princess Ariel she became very shy.

The next FastPass was only in 40 minutes and we wanted to something indoors without to long of a wait. We thought about visiting the circus with Minnie Mouse, Daisy Duck, Goofy and Donald Duck. And indeed a 15 minute wait for a picture with the female stars and a 5 minute wait for the male stars. Unfortunatly the Memory Maker had some glitches the last couple days and the photos with the ducks are missing at the moment…

After the circus we went towards the royal meet & greet with both Princess Elena and Cinderella. Emily knows exactly who is who. She also has unique sounds for both of them “Ela” and “Cila”. I love this picture with Cinderella, where Emily caresses her.

Due to the heat (35 degrees Celsius) we decided to leave the park and go back to the villa. We had still one page left in Emily her signature book but we also have a couple days left. But then I checked the character locator app and found out that it was just 2 minutes until Cinderella’s stepsisters Anastasia and Drizella would be posing for pictures. And so Emily’s book was full!

We took the resort monorail back to the Polynesian Resort while we wanted to eat a Pineapple Float at the Pineapple Lanai! While I was ordering 2 floats Emily came to the counter to say Hello! to the cast member and off course she got a free vanilla soft serve cup. Lucky girl!

As soon as the car was rolling Emily’s her eyes closed. Back in the villa she went straight to bed where she slept till after 6:00pm. I wished I was able to sleep that long in the afternoon! For dinner we went to Oishi to eat Sushi.

Today’s activities were made possible with support from Ricola, the original natural herb coughs drops and thylenol!
