Our Family life...

Day 19: Shopping and staying up late…

Today we wanted to have a shopping day with a little bit of magic at the end. But first we got a nice surprise Emily her second tooth came through…

We started with playing and some FaceTime calls in the morning. Unfortunate we don’t reach everyone but at least we got to see Emily her grand mothers and one of the great grand mothers. And not forget she got a kiss from her cousin Jop.

At 9:15 we left the villa towards a Starbucks. We got our usuals because Emily is moody without coffee in the morning and that is not so funny in the car…so 3 coffee and one with an extra shot of espresso!

And off course that was a joke, they made a mistake with our order and we got the wrong drink for free. After the coffee we continued towards the International Premium Outlets at the International Drive. We shopped only for Emily at Janie & Jack, Tommy Hilfiger and Converse.

Afterwards we went to the Mall at Millenia for the Easter collection of Janie & Jack and a milkshake at Johnny Rockets. Emily got a Formula Shake slightly warm, Mama a cold Hershey’s Chocolate Shake and I got the special a cold Apple Crumble Shake with a nano-sized pie on the edge of the glass. Delicious!!!

After the shakes it was time for a diaper change. This was the moment were Emily finally decided to roll over on her own from her back to her tummy and back. Not exactly the place where you want it to happen but she didn’t roll of the counter and she had fun… Now I need to wait till I can see it with my own eyes!

We went back home for a afternoon nap and to get ready for the magic. Emily slept already in the car on the way home and slept for another 1,5 hour in her crib. We were enjoying the sun and warm weather outside.

At 3:45 pm Emily woke up and we were ready to go gut first she needed her bottle. At 4:00 pm we left towards the Magic Kingdom. We planned on watching the Main Street Electrical Parade at 7:00 pm and to see Ariel because we needed her signature, last time we met her Emily’s book was full.

We needed to take the boat to the Magic Kingdom because the Monorail was closed. And at 5:05 pm we were in the magic. We walked straight to Ariel since our FastPass was already valid. Emily loved her even more then last time. She didn’t want to sit down she wanted to stand on her feet (probably the Converse shoes which triggered it). And she touched and tickled Ariel wherever she could. Ariel told her she was also still practicing her land legs like Emily.

After Ariel we went to meet a real Space Ranger, this is one of cousin Jop’s favorites and Emily got a kiss for him from Buzz Lightyear.

The start of the evening parade was only 50 minutes away but we had a FastPass which meant we didn’t need to wait 2 hours before the start of the parade to get a good spot for Emily to see the floats. Close to the viewing area princess Aurora was meeting and greeting with little princesses.

Emily was overwhelmed by her and to be honest we were too, this was probably the best character meeting we have ever had. She got a kiss which stayed on her like magic…

At 6:50 pm, about 10 minutes before the parade, we found our spot. Emily loved the lights and stayed awake the whole time, even though it was well beyond her normal bedtime she stayed awake but as soon as the lights were gone, the music stopped her eyes closed.

There was only one tiny problem she needed another bottle and we wanted to put her pajamas on before. After this was done we hoped she would fall a sleep again before Wishes the firework spectacle at 8:00 pm but no…

Emily stayed awake until the Blue Fairy came and she fell a sleep on Mama’s shoulder. After the fireworks we put her in her stroller.

Mama and I enjoyed the wildest ride through the wilderness, the Big Thunder Mountain. And somehow exactly at 9:00 pm, the start of the second Main Street Electrical Parade, she woke up. She watched the whole parade again.

After the parade we wandered a bit through the Magic Kingdom to make sure the most crowd was already gone and Emily fell a sleep almost instantly.

At 10:00 pm, the official closing time of the Magic Kingdom, we left. We took the lime colored Monorail back to the TTC and needed to wake Emily up to get her in the car seat. Finally at home we got her out of her seat and in her sleeping bag and crib without waking her up again…

And now it’s time to go to bed. Tomorrow we start the last week of our vacation already…
