Flying in New York City…
Our New York trip is just 34 days way and I’ve booked another surprise for Danielle! We will be soaring over New York in a helicopter, she was really surprised and I hope it will be as awesome as the discriptions on the website sounds like:

After viewing some reviews and photo’s it can only be good and it will be an new view on the landmarks and buildings on Manhattan. It’s also a first time we will fly with a helicopter and we can’t wait to board…
Negotiations were succesfull, saved 900$…
In our last blogpost Danielle wrote that she got a trip to New York City. And we booked the Crowne Plaza hotel at Times Square at that time but that has change today…
In June the hotel prices in Manhattan are extremely high and we wer not succesful on Priceline.com as too. But our luck changed today, first we got 50$ discount coupon for a ‘Name your own price®’ deal on their website. And this made us try again. Were we last time didn’t had succes at a price from $ 240, this time we only went up to $ 212 and got our deal. Compared to the Crowne Plaza this is a saving of $ 113/night. I think we did great on that part.
And now about the hotel, we stay in the Hotel Mela which is located in West 44th street between 6th and 7th Avenue. That means about 2 minutes walking from Times Square. The hotel is a boutique hotel which means somewhat smaller as the big wellknown brands. Rooms are not so big but we are in the city that never sleeps.
